Shabbat Services:
As Reform Jews, our formal Shabbat services take place on Friday evenings. Our Friday evening services are filled with beautiful music, communal prayer, and inspiring sermons. Services are conducted in Hebrew and English, with Siddurim (prayer books) that include transliterations and translations. On Shabbat morning, we focus on learning and community. We offer Shabbat morning prayers and Torah study informally in our Temple Library. During the school year, we also have Shabbat services for families! On select Friday nights throughout the year, we have a potluck Shabbat dinner for families to get to know each other before our Family Shabbat service. Our Family Shabbat services are shorter and designed to keep young ones engaged. On Shabbat mornings throughout the school year, we also offer Saturday morning Tot Shabbat services, a fun drop-in program to build strong Jewish foundations and build connections in the community.
Kippah and Tallit:
Our synagogue embraces inclusivity and egalitarianism. All Jews, regardless of their background, gender, sexual orientation, or level of observance, are welcome to participate fully in our services and activities. We strive to create a space where all feel valued and respected.
We have security guards present at all of our in-person services and many of our events. If a service or an event is expected to be larger than normal, we will also have Hamilton Police present. Some of our events and programs require registration in advance to attend. Please call our Temple Office if you have any questions regarding registration for an event or program.
