Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • slightly beaten
  • 1 c light or dark corn syrup
  • 1/3 c sugar
  • Four 1-oz squares semi-sweet chocolate
  • melted
  • 2 T butter
  • melted
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 11/2 c pecans
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell

Directions

  1. In medium bowl, stir together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, chocolate, butter and vanilla until well blended.

  2. Stir in pecans.

  3. Pour into pastry shell.

  4. Bake at 350 for 50 – 55 minutes, or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.

  5. Cool on a wire rack
