Sponsor an Oneg Shabbat or Kiddush Luncheon

Celebrate and Give Back to Our Community

Sponsoring an Oneg Shabbat or a Kiddush luncheon is a meaningful way to honor a Yahrzeit, celebrate a special event, or mark a significant milestone. Your sponsorship helps create a warm and welcoming environment for our congregation, enhancing our communal gatherings and allowing everyone to share in the joy and fellowship of these occasions.

Why Sponsor?

Sponsorships play a vital role in sustaining our vibrant community. By sponsoring an Oneg Shabbat or Kiddush luncheon, you:

  • Honour Loved Ones: Commemorate the memory of a loved one on their Yahrzeit.
  • Celebrate Milestones: Mark birthdays, anniversaries, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, graduations, or any other personal milestone.
  • Show Appreciation: Express gratitude for the blessings in your life by giving back to your community.
  • Support Community Life: Help us continue providing delicious refreshments and meals that bring people together in camaraderie and celebration.

What is an Oneg Shabbat?

An Oneg Shabbat, meaning “joy of Shabbat,” is a special gathering held before our Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat services. Occasionally, we will also host a Dessert Oneg after the service on special dates and occasions. It is a time for our community to come together, enjoy light refreshments, and share in the peace and joy of Shabbat. Sponsoring an Oneg Shabbat is a wonderful way to enhance this weekly celebration.

What is a Kiddush Luncheon?

A Kiddush luncheon follows some of our festival services and is an opportunity for extended fellowship and connection over a delicious meal. It is named after the Kiddush blessing over wine. By sponsoring a Kiddush luncheon, you help foster a welcoming atmosphere where members can relax, converse, and build stronger relationships.

How to Sponsor

Sponsoring an Oneg Shabbat or Kiddush luncheon is easy. Here’s how you can get involved:

  2. Contact Us: Reach out to our office to discuss your sponsorship. We can help you select a date, plan the details, and ensure everything is arranged smoothly.
  3. Make It Personal: Consider adding a personal touch, such as a favorite recipe, a special theme, or a dedication in the program.

Recognition and Appreciation

We value and appreciate our sponsors. To acknowledge your generous contribution, we will:

  • Announce Your Sponsorship: Mention your sponsorship in our weekly digital newsletter and during the service.
