For Young Families

Our Congregation offers many opportunities for young families to get involved.

From services to social events, there is something for everyone.

YOFI Shabbat – On the 1st Friday of each month at 5:15 PM to 6:00 PM (October – June) Rabbi Cohen and Paula Baruch engage little ones in a taste of Shabbat and Jewish Holidays. Our teen ambassadors greet you and your children into a safe play area to get comfortable playing games and singing. When Yofi Bear arrives the fun really begins with Paula leading fun songs and learning and Rabbi Cohen telling a story especially for young ones. We gather and bless the Shabbat candles, wine and challah and enjoy a delicious snack together. We always send you home with a craft and learning materials!

Shabbat LIVE! – On the 3rd Friday of each month (October – June) TAS families and friends celebrate a dynamic Shabbat with our Musical Director Jordan Abraham, Cantor Paula Baruch, and our Temple Singers. Included in this service are monthly birthday blessings, the Rabbi’s story which is sure to engage all ages. Guaranteed to raise the ruach and keep you dancing all the way through Shabbat.

Community Shabbat Dinner– On the 3rd Friday of each month (October – June) TAS families and friends linger after our Shabbat  LIVE! service to enjoy a Shabbat Potluck together. We ask that you bring Dairy/Vegetarian dishes only to share. NEW this year…we offer Israeli Dancing following the potluck!
