How Do I Build A Sukkah?

BUILD A BACKYARD SUKKAH

It’s easier than you think! All you need is a few tools, zip-ties, and a bundle of  6′ to 8′ long pieces of wood that can be as narrow as 1″ by 2″. Create three walls (one wall can be an outside wall of your house). Cover the walls with tarps or sheets and leave one side open or create a doorway opening in one side. You’ll need to place slats across the roof to hold cut branches or cornstalks for the schach covering. You’ll want to be sure you can see the stars through the roof a little bit. The Loewith Family invite you out to their farm to pick up some cornstalks and pine boughs!

BUILD A MODEL SUKKAH

It’s up to your imagination as there are so many ways you could create a Model Sukkah. Starting with a box is an easy way to get going. Making it look real is part of the fun. What will your walls be made out of? What about the green leaves on top? Perhaps most fun of all is making the tiny decorations for your Sukkah!
